Spinal Alignment for Optimal Health

Muscle and joint pain is common especially along the spine. It can be a signal that there's pressure on the central nervous system. It's wise to have a thorough clinical evaluation to assess your movement patterns in the context of the central nervous system.

Often ignored, chronic pain can persist for decades from poor spinal alignment when it could have been eliminated with a change in posture, body mechanics and movement patterns. Over time, micro-trauma can occur in other joints of the body (e.g., hips, knees, and shoulders) due to friction, compression and repetitive stress. Degenerative conditions in the discs, spinal joints and all the joints of the body are often the result of malalignment issues due to poor posture and body mechanics. It's important to have these conditions addressed early because they are very treatable and even reversible.

Early treatment options below:

  • Posture training for sitting, standing, and sleeping positions
  • Practice correct body mechanics while moving and lifting
  • Participate in specific therapeutic exercise for reversing stressful conditions and retraining movement patterns
  • Train in ergonomics for home and work environments
  • Mind-body awareness training and education on basic lifestyle habits like smoking cessation, weight management, and stress-reduction for overall health and well-being
